Can you report a yahoo user for inappropriate content in a fantasy football league?nba mvp ,nba teams

Its just smack talk. Every league has them . Unless it was a racial comment or something threatening, i would let it go. I dont take it personally.
Yes, you can.

But unless you know the person and it was an personnal attack towards you, if not this way then let it go. People talk trash over the computer all the time. It's easy to talk trash and act hard with a keyboard.

You should report it if you know someone personally and feel threaten. If you don't know them, the season is over. Just don't play with them again.

Otherwise it just weak of someone to go that way.
it may be me my bad...if your name is burnham sorry for ripping you.I just did it since you tried to diss me out if it was you.
Thats pretty weak of you, but yeah. Send them an email.
You can report anything that u feel uncomfortable with.
yea just hit report abuse and send an email 2 yahoo.

What happened with our fantasy football draft?

I, along with 11 other friends were scheduled to have an online fantasy football draft last night at 8:30PM CDT. Yahoo obviously had some server or other technical difficulties just prior to our draft. By 8:15 everything looked OK and it looked as though our draft would take place at 8:30 as scheduled. Our draft came and went, it's now 14 hours later and no has drafted, no one has an auto drafted team, nothing! No word from Yahoo, we are all just hanging. We all pitched in $$$ for this year and were looking very forward to playing. What happened? Has this happened to anyone else? Are we going to eventually end up with an auto-drafted team?

did your commisioner change the settings to ready? if not he/she needs to do that or the draft wont take place.

What happened with our fantasy football draft?nba draft picks ,nba teams

Go into Yahoo help and contact them maybe they can change the league setting so that you all can do a live draft another time. Its worth a shot. Hopefully the technical problems do not mess up your fantasy football year.

One other idea I have, is to start a completely new league and notify all of your people to get into it and then you can have a live draft guaranteed, if you do it this way, then you wont have to worry about the outcome of your first (technical difficulty) league.

Good Luck to you.

How do I win at fantasy football?

I am having trouble transitioning from fantasy basketball to football. I don't understand the game of football very well, much less fantasy football. I drafted my team according to the Yahoo rankings so I didn't think it could be that bad of a team. But I am getting beat badly in every matchup and am ranked last in my league. I notice that some of my players are ranked high but aren't getting playing time. I would like to drop them but am afraid they will start producing as we get further into the season. Everyone else in my league is picking up a ton of free agents but I have no clue as to how to make good decisions with free agents. Any advice for a newbie to fantasy football?

How do I win at fantasy football?nba league pass

What I do and I am pretty good is always look at the free agents. Try to keep track of witch ones are having killer games. Pick them up and drop your bad players. Also watch football when you can and watch ESPN news to get stats.

How do I win at fantasy football?nba tv ,nba teams

Read all the FF news articles you can each week and watch every game your players are in. Offer one monster 2 for 1 trade and be early to pick up emerging FF players off the waiver wire, especially backups for studs out with injuries. Start 1 player each week solely based on their matchup . Report It

It's only 2 weeks into the season, no time to .panic. I wouldn't make any drastic moves, only if someone goes on the DL.

How do I throw a football far?

Okay, Im trying out for our schools freshman football team and I need help.

1. What will increase arm strength to throw farther? (throwing procedure too cause I don't think mine is working...=\

I can throw probably at a max 35 yards but I need to throw farther cause another kid wanting the QB position has a Brett Favre gunner with long fast passes, how do I do this myself? I got good accuracy, timings pretty good, I just need help on how to throw farther and a better procedure on throwing. Thanks for the help

2.

How do I throw a football far?nba tv

Ask your coach. Some of these ideas might get your arm hurt. If you can throw accurately for 35 yards that's about all you need. Unless you are throwing a hail mary. That's why a 40 time is more important in football than a 100 yard dash time. Rarely will you get enough time for your receivers to get farther than 40 yards. Ask your coach what he thinks you could do to improve. I mean do you want to take advice from a pot-smoking loser. Yeah jimsmokespots I bet you throw over 50. In your pot deluded mind.. ..

How do I throw a football far?nba dunks ,nba teams

um ma coach told me 2 have both hands on the ball then let 1 go and then bring ur arm up like ur flexin ur muscle and then bringin it back and then let it go at the way u want it 2 go haha i think i think i got it mixed up
regardless of what u do.. ull never beat me... but in the meantime.. try tricep workouts such as... taking like a 20 pound weight and putting it above ur head w/ both ur arms... w/ ur arms bent extend them so u feel it under ur biceps... do that a lot.. thast what i did.. n i throw over 50 yrds.
Distance is not everything, work on accuracy, and when throwing far try giving the ball more spin(this is underspin and according to physics its travels higher and in air farther than no spin or top spinning objects) and also when throwing dont try throwing too hard or else ull be of target and the ball will go straight on the ground, also follow through force*time=mass*velocity, also try building upper body strenght, pushups, gym whatever,

good luck. the answer below this has the correct procedure of throwing the football but who needs to throw above 45 yards in high school, concentrate on technique and accuracy, the coach is not stupid, he wont hand each person a ball and ask em to throw it and whoevers goes the farthest get the position.
Do allot of bicep and tricep workouts, and stretch alot. Keep throwing around the football to get yourself use to the ball(don't throw out your arm, if you do ice it).... HOW TO THROW A FOOTBALL: 1.hold the football in your strong hand with your pink fingers on the laces(put 2-3 fingers on the laces)then when in the throwing motion make sure to extend your lead foot out with you toes pointed in the direction you want to throw. Then keeping your elbow up bring the football back getting ready to throw. When you throw make sure the football goes past the ear and then realease. Dont throw side armed

how about winning euro millions and investing in one in the conference
I'd guess getting a ball and a load of people who want to play would be a start.

(Sorry, not really big on football.)
Well it would be a definate advantage if you were a very rich russian.
Clearly there is no cost for starting a team who only play friendly matches, so assuming you want competitive football you need to contact your county FA and get registered for next season, probably for a Saturday or Sunday league. The system is similar whether for men's, women's or kid's teams. Try http://www.thefa.com/GrassrootsNew/Count...

That said, running a football club is a hassle (try getting 14 people to turn up every Sunday morning when you can only play 11 regularly), so have a look for an existing club. http://www.thefa.com/GrassrootsNew/Playe...

It will be easier to setup a reserve team than an entire club.

And as for finding a pitch, they will usually be owned by the local council or sometimes by social clubs. We pay the parish council about 锟?00 for the year, but that will vary. Add to that registration fees with the league (small), referee's fees (about 锟?0-25 per home game), and some kit, and you'll need to charge 锟?-锟? per player per game, or get sponsorship.

Of course, if by "Pars" you are in Scotland, you should go to http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/, but their website isn't as good as the English FA hence the links above.

They have Maurice Jones-Drew as the fantasy hall of famer when clearly Frank Gore was a nobody and came out and put up top 5 numbers. If I were to pick the "fantasy hall of famer" out of those 2 it would be Frank Gore. He helped teams out more than Jones-Drew did even though I do think Jones-Drew had a great season. That shows that they don't know fantasy football as good as they should OR they couldn't get a monetary agreement with Gore to do the commercial.

Also to add to the Alstott thing. I think it because he did have a really good season 3 or 4 years ago and they could be putting him on there for that.
Let me see.. you are all uptight and tense about a fantasy commercial about a fantsy contest someone made up.

Maybe you should take a make-believe valium.
ESPN Fantasy Football HoF is broken into different categories:

1. Touchdown Vultures

2. Waiver Wire Wonders

3. Unheralded Rookies

4. Out of Nowhere

5. Handcuff Heroes

6. The Studs

Mike Alstott is there because between 1997 and 2001, he scored 37 rushing touchdowns while Warrick Dunn rushed for 20 less during that time.

MJD is listed as an "Unheralded Rookie".

What mask should I use for high school football?

Now when you are telling me how many bars I should have, do not include the one on the top of the helmet. I am a pretty bulky guy and I start freshman football spring training on May 1st and I do not know what mask would be good to play in: I want to try out for Defensive Tackle, Punt Returner, Quarter Back, and Tight End if I don't get QB.

What mask should I use for high school football?nba league pass

QB: anything with alot of vision area so you can see all of the receivers.

TE: anything will do except for the long lineman facemasks. you need to be able to make athletic moves to catch the ball.

DT: COVERAGE! it can get pretty dirty down in the trenches

PR: something small and light. you need to be able to see everything and have good peripheral vision.

if you worry too much abt what you want to play, you wont wont get better at what you need to play. if the coach thinks you are good at one position, he's probably right.

What mask should I use for high school football?nba tv ,nba teams

Wow, your world is apparently wide open, huh? It doesn't sound likely that you'll be a punt returner, based on the other positions you want to try out for. The facemasks for Tight Ends and defensive linemen are pretty similar, so you'll need to find out if they want you as a QB first, and then you'll know which helmet to choose.
A Defensive Tackle and a Quarterback? There is something wrong with this question. DT's have to be giants and qbs are usually just buff tall guys.
High School Freshman Football...??? I really wouldn't worry about what type facemask to use. Your coach will give the proper one for the position you'll play... just concentrate on making the team...

Good ways to get in shape for football?nba teams

This Book will tell you all!

http://www.humankinetics.com/PRODUCTS/SH...

Otherwise.....

We all know that great football players are big and fast, but those of us who have no direct experience playing or coaching football typically know little about what other characteristics are important to success in football.

Likewise, most of us are unaware of how coaches condition their players, what the most common injuries to players are, and how diets for football players differ from diets of other athletes.

The following is designed to address these issues and respond to questions that I thought may be of interest to athletes and coaches alike.

[ Q ] What three physical characteristics are most useful in predicting which high-school athletes might become successful interior linemen, running backs, linebackers, or defensive backs? Is bigger always better?

The single most important characteristic is speed. If other physical attributes are at least average, speed will determine which athletes will advance to the elite level.

Get Faster: Anyone Can Increase Their Basic Speed!

Three components affect your maximal speed: Stride Frequency, Stride Length, and Anaerobic Endurance. Here's a quick look at all three %26amp; how they work together.

[ Click here to learn more. ]

Other critical factors include reaction time (an important component of agility), vertical jumping ability (as a marker for power of the lower body), and upper body strength.

All things being equal, in a contact sport like football, a larger player generally has an advantage over a smaller one, but in the real world, especially at the high school level, bigger is not necessarily better. The high school lineman often has to play both sides of the ball, and a player with better quickness and skill can often overcome a larger opponent.

Speed in general, and specifically the ability to accelerate quickly, is without question the single most important physical factor, regardless of position. Speed can make up for deficits in either strength or skill.

Upper-body strength and reaction time are two other characteristics that are necessary to be a successful football player, especially at the positions of interior lineman, running back, and defensive back. Bigger isn't necessarily better if the athlete excels in the other characteristics.

[ Q ] What are the most important strength exercises that should be emphasized for football players? How important are weight-room exercises compared to on-field, football-specific exercises such as blocking-sled drills?

Those exercises that improve strength in the "core" muscle group are the most important ones.

The core is defined as the lumbar-pelvic-hip complex and consists of the gluteals, abdominals, hip flexors, and spinal muscles. The core is where our center of gravity is located and where all power movements begin. Squats, dead lifts, leg presses, abdominal curls against resistance, and leg raises are excellent exercises for developing the core musculature.

Of course, upper body strengthening with bench presses, military presses, and various exercises to strengthen elbow flexors and extensors are also important for football players.

The combination of developing a good strength base in the weight room and developing the technical ability to execute a skilled movement at a high speed during field drills is the key to successfully enhancing performance of a power movement. Without speed, strength will not allow the athlete to generate adequate power.

Properly performed strength and power movements can have a dramatic effect on an athlete's performance. Weight room exercises should be used to prepare a foundation of strength, whereas football-specific drills should be used to "fine tune" the strength of the muscles used in football.

Time spent in the weight room building core strength is essential for the successful football athlete. Other more sport-specific drills are also important but are probably not as efficient for building sheer strength and power.

[ Q ] What are your two most favorite on-field conditioning drills for football players? Why do you think these drills are important?

Pre-practice drills are very important to teach proper technique. Begin practice with a moderately long run to raise body temperature and follow this with static stretching of all major muscle groups.

Next, have the players perform a series of sprints, stride stretches, and plyometric rebound jumps on one and two legs. These drills do a fantastic job of preparing the athlete's body, particularly the joints, for the rigors of practice and competition.

During the first five days of practice before heavy contact work, have players also perform agility circuits. Set up 10 stations with various drills: plyometrics with resistance, grass drills, running against elastic ropes for resistance, jumping ropes, and one-legged running. At each station, have players work for one minute at high intensity before moving on to the next station.

Try to design these drills to be as specific as possible to football. During the main part of the season, select from a menu of high-intensity intervals (repeat 40-yard sprints), long slow distance runs, and a variety of football-specific agility drills.

View All Plyometric Articles...

[ Q ] What approach do you take to conditioning players for training and competition in hot weather?

The single most important factor is to make certain that the athletes are physically fit. Certainly they must be appropriately hydrated and gradually acclimatized to exercising in extreme environmental conditions, but if they are not fit to begin with, they will be more likely to experience heat-related problems.

Educate the players about the importance of avoiding dehydration and its detrimental effects on performance and health. Cajole, beg, and insist that they drink enough fluids during hot and/or humid conditions.

[ Q ] How do you try to prevent and/or treat dehydration and muscle cramps in football players?

Contrary to what some people think, there is no way to train to withstand the adverse effects of dehydration. Players should be offered both water and an electrolyte replacement drink during practice and competition, and in hot weather they should be encouraged to drink frequently.

Athletes prone to muscle cramps may need to take in more sodium and potassium in salted sports drinks and in their daily diets.

Encourage players to consume a sports drink before, during, and after practice. Guidelines are: 16-20 oz (450-600 ml) 1-2 hours before exercise, 7-10 oz (200-300 ml) every 15-20 minutes during exercise, and at least 24 oz (720 ml) after exercise for each pound lost. Players should be weighed before and after practice to assess average fluid losses. They should be reminded to drink before they are thirsty and to drink on a schedule.

Another good reason for a playoff system in College Football?

The Postseason in College Football is very dull you get 7 or 8 decent to great match ups all of them coming after Jan. 1st but if we had a playoff system we would have a post season that would rival the NFL if not have the chance to be better.

If we had a playoff system with 16 teams we could still be incollegefootball season today like the NFL is wouldn't that be cool?

Another good reason for a playoff system in College Football?nba basketball

It could be done, but there are too many people that want to see Bowling Green %26amp; Tulane ( no disrespect to those programs intended, they just were a couple of names of less successful programs that came to me ) that will play in the NORTHERN TOLIET PAPER BOWL, for nothing more than a maketing opportunity for the corporate sponsor %26amp; a payout to the general scholarship program.

Until you make the big ten realize that they play in a weaker divison except for attendance than the Pac 10, SEC %26amp; Even the ACC, we continue to have to play this stupid popularity contest.

The NCAA has the right formula in basketball and should enact the same format for football.

Another good reason for a playoff system in College Football?college basketball ,nba teams

There is a playoff system incollegefootball. It's called the SEC, win the tournament and you win the National Championship.
even if all those old, tradition-keeping ***** in the NCAA decide to make playoffs, collegefootball will never be better than the NFL. That's why they call it the pros.
the BCS is an imperfect solution in an imperfect world.

for all the crying fans do it is right more than it isnt. rarely are there more than 2 or 3 teams who deserve nat title shots. in the ncaa bball tourney they never get the right 65 teams either always the first thing espn show is the teams who got snubbed. this year was great forcollegefootball and i had more fun watching it than i have in a few years.

i do think they will go to a 4 team play-off soon and that will be good . I like that when mich lost to appy st their nat title shot was gone. i like that every game is important incollegefootball. incollegebball i dont care about the reg season until feb. the no 1 team in the country could have a bad night and lose and no one really cares because they will get their tourney spot. that is why i hope they keep thecollegefball tourney to 4 teams 8 at the most.
Playoffs would be great...if you could fill the stands. What if a team like Kansas got through 3 rounds? How many fans would pay to travel to three different games? This is one problem that will have to be solved.

Part of the solution would be for Notre Dame to get off its backside, join the Big 10, then have a conference championship (first-round playoff). All teams should be in conferences and each conference should have a championship. That would help. PS The NFL is boring due to parity (except maybe this year).

How can so many people watch football?

I don't understand when you watch it it's like your watching something that lasts forever. For example when a play starts in football on average one play last 5 seconds and then stops for 30 seconds. How can you watch that? it would get so boring watching that for four hours. They should really speed the game up. The only game that is excting is the superbowl.

Actually.... watching baseball is like watching something that lasts forever.
I like it because you don't have to sit and hang on to everything like a movie. I can get up and do things, come back when I'm ready and jump right back in. And I disagree about the Super Bowl part. I'm a Stiller Fan, but that game was really boring.
And they hardly ever touch the ball with their feet, either...
ITS SO OBVIOUS THAT YOU ARE NOT A FOOTBALL FAN THAT THIS QUESTION IS NOT WORTH A ANSWER
it may be that way, but people do like watching it, because it could have some amazing plays! That and that you're supporting ur own team, so that's good!
there is lots of reasons like you can chill with your friends, or just root for your team,or just enjoy peole make good plays

Which is a bigger worn out disaster Hillary or the Pittsburgh Steeler football field?

Nice job Pennsylvania letting 4 high school team trash your NFL football stadium field the weekend before a nationally televised Monday night football game. Good job. Nothing like watching NFL football on a field that is a total disaster and better suited for a Playboy Playmate mud wrestling match. Another classless act by the Pittsburgh Steelers organization.

Which is a bigger worn out disaster Hillary or the Pittsburgh Steeler football field?basketball players

Well, I would have to say the Pittsburgh Steeler football field since it has actually had a meaningful effect on something. All Hillary has ever done is remind any man who has ever been divorced of his screeching ex-wife.

If Hillary ever got any kind of power, however, it would be a disaster on a par with the earth colliding with a rogue black hole. Certainly much worse than Heinz Field!

Which is a bigger worn out disaster Hillary or the Pittsburgh Steeler football field?kobe bryant ,nba teams

Hillary
both but the Steelers only suck in one place Hillary is a traveling show of sucking.

but I don't get that letting them play wasn't classy.

They just didn't plan, or couldn't because of the weather.

Pissubrgh still sucks and so does Hillary
i thought you were ranting about g.w.b. there for a second, or was it bill oral'ly.
Why are you so bitter and angry about it? LOL

Oh, I get it....you're either a Bungle or Stains fan. Sucks to be you! :)
Hillary, the football field CAN be fixed.
hilary....lol
I'll say Hillary is the bigger disaster of the 2 since I don't care about politics.
It was a mess wasn't it. Some real good thinking went into that decision.
Actually, I think that letting high school teams play in your stadium as well as acollegeteam is pretty classy. Think about how excited those kids were. The issue was the rain, and how they need to put some sort of artificial field down in Pitt. Classless would have been to say that the kids can't play because of the weather report.
It's a tradition for the high school football teams to play in the stadium. It's a really big deal to get that far, so I doubt the Steelers organization would say "Well we are big shot NFL players and you all look up to us, but sorry you can't play here even though it means a lot to you."

Plus, that is actually pretty selfish of you to say. Sorry that YOU had to watch a game on TV with a bad field. You didn't have to play on it... so I don't understand why you were so upset about it??

I think its a little bit far fetched to say it was a "classless act."
Hillary; at least the field was interesting; They both had a lot of balls that stuck in them, though.
Not that I'm a Steelers fan but the weather did play a big part in this as well.
Okay....is this all you have in your brain?

What kind of football do you like? Pansy 80 degree weather all season long?

And it's really too bad you can't vote for George again. He's doing such a great job.
The field was a mess, I agree ... BUT

It is a very big deal to those high-school kids to play in Heinz Field. Give credit to the Steelers and the City of Pittsburgh for allowing their mega-gazillion-dollar facility to actually be USED as a sports venue, rather than reserving it for the sake of prettiness on national TV.

Not sure why you would call the Pittsburgh Steelers a "classless" organization. And very classless on your part regarding that crack about Hillary. She has more balls than you ever will.
they both are lol...

Can a high school senior, with no prior football experience, become a pro football player?

My son is a senior high school student who wishes to become a pro football player. He never joined his school's football team the 4 years in high school, but he has played football recreationally with friends. Does he still have a chance to play pro football or has he missed his chance? Also his grades were not too great in high school. What does anyone advise?

He better get to college

Can a high school senior, with no prior football experience, become a pro football player?nba season ,nba teams

Yes,first get a agent, some have made it into the NFL withoutcollegefootball experience. You need to also try to go to many open area football tryouts open to public. It's possible, just believe. Type "how tryout professional football nocollegefootball experience" in google. Report It

probally with help from his team and coach (i have a older brother)
chances are slim for anyone but for him, even slimmer like .00001%
Best chance would be to try and get a walk-on spot at a university. Granted its very tough but i had a friend that walked on for the UNLV team. If they are able to do that then that gives them some experience and then makes them scouting bait if he does very well.

From there they have to play their hearts out to get noticed but it's possible.

Concerning grades, if he can get himself into acollegeand maintain a decent GPA he will be ok
I'm sry but he dosnt have a chance
i think he can try out for a team like the packers or lions or something any team that you guys live around.
The odds are against him but im sure he has a chance. If playing football is something he really wants to do then he should not give up on the dream.
tell your son to go tocollege.. and try out as walk-on.. No NFL will not pick anyone without anycollegefootball experience..
Well sir, congrats on having a son who is dreaming big.

well heres my opinion on this matter that your son is going through.

If he's thinking about going to college, then his dream is still alive. If you know football, theres one man who didnt play football tillcollegeand that man was Jason Taylor of the Miami Dolphins, and he has become a very dominant and one of the best d-ends in the NFL.

What he missed was the experience and the memories he wouldve made if he played with his friends and other teammates, but he can still do that if he playscollegeball.

If he played recreationally, then he gets how the game works, but he still needs to be coached in order for him to develop himself as a football player.

Grades are important if he's gonna go to a big 4 year college. I myself play football for my communitycollegeand i didnt have the best of grades. but what i did do was play football for my high school.

but in all honesty i think your son still has to play ball and become a professional football player.
He wont play pro football--plain and simple.

As for advice:

It is time to seek employment or enroll in community college.

The military is always an option
No. He needs to go to a goodcollegeteam or at least a decentcollegeif it is possible.
If he has a 40 time under 5 seconds or does 30 bench reps using 225 poud weights, he could go to a walk-on tryout at acollegeand work his way up.

Good luck!
MAYBE IF YOU TRY HARD...YOU KNOW

What do you think TRULY is the REAL problem with English football ?

The pathetic performances of this year world cup and of past Euro's too... England does not seem to do very well most of the times. Why is that ? ( no complex analysis, please. Big problems normally only require very simple solutions ). I realy would like the views of everyone, football knowledgeable or not. Thanks.

What do you think TRULY is the REAL problem with English football ?nba live 2007

England simply aren't as good as they are made out to be. The media must be on some heavy duty drugs the way they talk them up. 1966 needs to be put to bed and forgotten. It had more to do with a dodgy russian linesman that England won the world cup then than anything. "There are people on the pitch, they think its all over!" You'll remember that saying, god it's repeated on telly enough. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand that play should have been stopped before Hursts 3rd. The english premier is only regarded as being so good because of the foreign influence. I keep saying to my English friends when a competition comes along that maybe they will go all the way. But they don't seem to think so. If only they worked for the BBC!

What do you think TRULY is the REAL problem with English football ?nba betting ,nba teams

Lots of combining problems resulting in us being s**t!!

Firstly: team being chosen on REPUTATION + WHO u r and NOT the best player!

Secondly: Teams like ARSENAL who DO NOT have one English player in their starting line up! And noone throw Hoyt or Theo Walcott @ me! 10year olds just out of nappies DONT COUNT! They are RUINING the FUTURE of the national team!

Thirdly: We need our players 2 move abroad and experience different leagues n different styles of play! Just like the french!
Where to begin. I think we're overconfident. Most of our team are World Class but don't play well (e.g Lampard who has played like a quadrospas). The problem isn't lack of quality. They just don't seem to knit. Perhaps because they don't get to spend much time together as an England team. Korea did exceptionally well (albeit at home) when their team was effectively a club team. Most of them only played for their country for a year before the World Cup. So familiarity is very important. (But then the England team is very well established - everyone pretty much have 20+ caps)

So...

Who knows? I really do think the solution would be to drop most of them for a poor performance (sounds like a tabloid response I know). But Lampard et al are living off club form which they have never really produced for England (like McManaman, Barnes even Henry or Cantona for France are the same)

So why should they play? Make them earn their jersey, just like their club team would make them do. In the short term I think it would be disasterous, but then we're not really doing the well anyway so why not?

We have no right to beat teams like Macedonia if we don't prepare well, and work our socks off to do it.

Lastly, there "are no easy games at this level". Whilst this isn't strictly true, there are fewer teams to whoop these days compared to even 10 years ago.

I wish I could answer this question!
the team are bloody useless wat else can be said
Don't get me wrong, i have no problem with foreigners, but isn't english football supposed to mean we have english players?? How are we supposed to find young, english players when most clubs buy from abroad?
We don't score as many goals as the other side!?
Our real problem is that in a nutshell we have this prima donna attitude that because we're England we should be best team on the planet. Fact is however:-

1) Simply put we suck cos we can't do the basics consistently

2) We pick the worst people as national team managers

3) Have far too many foreign players in our game.

4) Don't teach youngsters the basics properly.....
i think the English team has many problems First of all the penalties..They not fast..Some how very slow so for any goalkeeper it is easy for him to stop the ball ..England never succeeded to win any match which reached the penalties

Secondly...And it is related to the above point..Their shots arent very strong..It was only David Beckham who was good in free-kicks and those kicks who requires strenght but now he is gone i hope he is back on the team because he was the reason England was going on ..

Thirdly...They have many stars on their team ...But they dont share with each other i mean every one is acting alone and thats why every ball is not good and thats why they lose..they are turning like brazil
Maybe you are just not as good as you think you are? stop feeding off the 66 result and wake up and smell the coffee!
the league has too many foreigners.
They just aren't great football players? And I think that they are not really hungry for victory...
wwwaayyy too much player power..seems as if players have more authority then the managerss
the trouble is we think we are much better than we actually are.we only have 2 maybe 3 world class players.most of the best players in prem are foreign.
Ego.
there's young good British talent out there, but football teams are failing to find em among the amount of foreginers in the premiership. Even through the youth academy you're seeing these young stars, but they happen to be on the bench of most club games. Not even getting a chance to get into first team.

You need to scout em, it's very well having all the money %26amp; thinking of going abroad but you need to look at what's right infront of your eyes on home soil.

A good example of a good team are Arsenal, hence most of the team are foreign, but they're young too. And cos they have good scouts out there looking for talent all the time, that's why their young players are at first team level. Now if the English can do the same thing, then i'd say you got a winning formula.
the problem is there is no such thing as an english football team anymore. we should take the foreigners out of the game and the english players could get back to playing proper football instead of this fancy crap
selfishness
England never learn to play the game. They run a lot, and the only way to score is : center the ball and hope somebody connects.
lack of ball skills due to an emphasis on work rate when kids are over coached. the lack of good quality players in the lower leagues due to the emphasis on brute strength, they need to apply the same standards as European refs to make skill not brute force the deciding factor. but we like a physical game so we have it one way or another. we either model our whole game on the Europeans or we stick with the rough stuff, we can't have it both.
Too many egos on the pitch. Players are paid too much, turning the game into a job rather than an enjoyable, passionate experience. And foreign coaches, how can the players be inspired by a foreign coach.

I have no problem with foreigners by the way, just think that an Englich team should have an English coach.
There is no problem, England team and players are not good as English media is presenting them !!!!!!!!
Too much money and not enough commitment!
the main problem is...england defend too much....instead of opening up the game and attacking they just defend and once in a while try some long shots....and this can probably only help them till the group stages....i think steve mclaren will definately do a better job than sven goran erickson...but i hate mclaren's idea of dropping david beckham from the squad
My truly honest view is that most success in life comes from the mind. The mind can affect anything. The mind can make an 8 stone lady lift a car off her crushed son. It doesn't matter how good you are at a sport if you are not in the right frame of mind you will not play well.

England players are rarely in the right frame of mind because鈥?.

They are constantly berated and criticised by the media and fans therefore there is too much pressure on them. A person cannot play good football if there is a lot of pressure on them.

In the recent world cup I saw a brazil player (forget his name) approach the opposition and fire one in the net and all the time even when they were trying to tackle him he had a huge grin on his face. This was a very important world cup match and he was extremely relaxed and just slotted the goal in with no worries. England players always look so serious and frantic when they try and score like scurrying, robotically trained rats.

In summary, England have some good players but they are too tense, too rigid and under too much pressure so they try far too hard.

People seem to think that if they put more pressure on them they will play better but the opposite is true.

A person always performs better when they are relaxed.
The answer is simple, we cant keep hold of the ball or pass well enough...

We're going to have to change tactics eventually too... Run it down the wing, cross it into the box %26amp; hope for the best.... Im afraid teams have sussed us out.....

....

What gives must be your selective eye sight.

Many persons of different races are at the games - you just don't "see" them for some reason. Next time take off the blinders and just enjoy the game - let stress for your small brain and blurred eyeballs.

How come when watching football, you never see any black people in the crowd?nba mock drafts ,nba teams

Possibly because the population of america is only about 15% African-American (a bit less actually). Therefore spotting the 15 out of every 100 people is kind of difficult in those quick pans to the large crowd. Also if not for HD, you would NEVER see African-Americans. Also because some African-American people are very light skinned and are therefore not so obviously African-American. Despite what you say, I think there are far less at Baseball games. And even then I notice, it's just hockey that lacks and African-American following. Strange, since Jerome Iginla is the #1 ranked player in fantasy hockey!
You don't see them because YOU are not paying attention. I see them all the time.
cauze the camera people are racist. well, hope this helps.
Because there is to many blue smurfs.
Im sure there are some, when you acually go to a game live it seems like there are many different races at the game, but on TV it just looks like white people are the only ones that go. Its wierd.
errrrrrr idk racist idiot
thats a funny question. I am watching football right now actually and i think black people just blend in with the background more and so it is harder to pick them out. But they are there.
Are you kidding me? I was just at the Seahawk game yesterday (were we kicked a$$, yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), and a good 1/8th of the fans were black. I have no clue what you are talking about, I see blacks on T.V. a lot.
african americans only make up 13.4 percent of the american population so why would you expect that percentage to change for the attendance of a football game?
Maybe because your TV is too small. Most of the coverage is of the field.
This is a horrible question. What is wrong with you... seriously.
You know what keep your racist comments to yourself
It's not like that at Raider games. In fact white people r the minority at Raider games no joke. All us Mexicans and Blacks are BBQ'n, u know how we do.

It's cool, i don't think it's a racist question, i always make a point to point that out to my homies and friends, espicially at Basketball games.

The Bay Area is way different, it's probably the other way around here. More minorities can afford tickets out here.

I do think it is geographical though, and economic.
The Black people are the ones PLAYING the game. Their too athletic to sit down in the stands.
can't afford it
because they are all on the field

Often they are worth quite a bit of money after a few years, especially cup finals and other big games. I used to sell them on Ebay and did alright.
as a souvenir
so theyll be worth money in years to come or just a keepsake
perhaps they are worth some money to other people who are hunting for them, or to give to people who couldnt make it to the game.
Why collect anything, they have an interest in matches gone by probably.
as a kid i used to keep every newspaper article on man utd, and taped every match off the radio and kept them. My wardrobe was a foot deep in paper! my mum threw them out when i left home - have never forgiven her lol!
The same reason philatelists collect stamps, it just bings their zinger.
As reminders of their teams achievements and past glories. Fun to reminisce about past matches and players and the programmes act as mental stimuli.
they like to watch them again

What measurables do you have for a dynasty in football?

I've read idiots claiming NE is not a dynasty. Give you definition of a football dynasty that excludes NE or go 'tuck' yourself.

Remember, the Steelers of the '70s, the 49ers of the '80s, the Cowboys of the '90s, the Packers of the'60s (and sometimes the Browns and Lions of the '50s) must meet the definition but it must exclude teams like Denver of the '90s, Giants and Redskins of the '80s, and Miami of the '70s.

What measurables do you have for a dynasty in football?nba live

Dynasty is one of those sports words thrown out there a lot with mixed meanings. NE is a dynasty...They've stayed competitive during this run. If they win another title with the current "core", they just maybe the greatest dynasty of the last 50 years. (%26amp; I am a Niners fan!) I say this becuase the 90's brought along a salary cap, reduction in draft picks %26amp; FA. What NE has done is remarkable. %26amp; now they seem to be reloading...Although Moss is a gamble.

So, here is my criteria:

A dynasty must be long term success with the same GM/HC %26amp; core players.

Dynasties are Browns in 50s, Pack in 60's, Steelers in 70's, Niners in 80's .

Cowboys in early 90s %26amp; Broncos in late 90's are a loose definition... IMO, just because they didn't "reload" when some core players left. Great teams, but I'll use dynasty loosely with them.

The other teams you mentioned were great no doubt, they just fall short. The Redskins would have been team of 80s with 3 different winning qbs throughout that decade...But the undisputed 80s champ was the Niners. Dolphins are in the same boat. Real good in 70s, but the Steelers were there.

My bottom line is simple:

Long term success(playoffs consistently)

PLUS

Core management %26amp; players

PLUS

Multiple Lombardi trophies.

What measurables do you have for a dynasty in football?tv on pc ,nba teams

new england are a dynasty and the people who say they arent are probably colts fans.
Winning consistantly.Take Miami was for 30 something years, they always were there contending. Now New England is and have been for a few years now.So I'd say they definetly are now.
Augy's answer is perfect. In this new salary cap and free agency era the Pats have won with a core of players. They have made the playoffs the last 4 years running and they are definately Super Bowl contenders for a 5th straight year.
Some people say they are not a Dynasty because their players change so often. All the other Dynasties you named had the same key players for all three of their championships but with the salary cap and plain old greed of the players, its hard to keep the same players over and over again. So with that said they are a dynasty because they consistantly win. Also, you have to win 3 championships in a decade to be a dynasty.
NE is a dynasty team. they have won 3 superbowls and have the talent to get another 3. they have been a playoff contender for the last 6 or 7 years.

Most professional athletes have been coddled and over indulged since the moment their talents were recognized by a coach or parent or whomever. They're suddenly placed on a different track that focuses more on the development of physical gifts and less on getting an education, being a moral person, etc.

Most are essentially living their lives in a state of suspended adolescence. And that, combined with privilege and million dollar contracts, makes for a volatile combination. How does ESPN Fantasy Football draft works?

I just signed up for ESPN Fantasy Football. This is the first time I will actually follow it!!! My draft is in about 65 minutes. Does this draft works just as the real draft? You pick players in order according to your draft picks?

How does ESPN Fantasy Football draft works?nba updates

No, it's a serpentine draft meaning first pick gets 1st pick in the first pick in the first round but last pick in the 2nd round. And same for every team, and here's a tip pick running backs in the first 2 rounds and in the 3rd round go wide-out, trust me.

Good luck!
MAYBE IF YOU TRY HARD...YOU KNOW

extremely unlikely. as a high school senior he should be more than aware of his chances and how small they are.

How Much For Baseball and football cards that where from 1977?

i have Baseball cards and football cards from 1977 and i want to know how much ppl well buy them for

How Much For Baseball and football cards that where from 1977?nba all star game

actaully cards are only valuable if they are rare. it has little to do with how good the player is. only rookie cards of great players are valuable.

the most valuable cards are error cards that have a misspelled name, wrong pitcure, etc. usually the card company will notice the mistake after about 1/3 of the cards are printed. one of the most valuable cards recently is the Billy Ripken (cal's younger less famous brother) who posed with a bat over his shoulder. no one noticed when the picture was taken that someone had written 'fu_kface on the knob of the bat. about 2000 cards were printed before they noticed. that card is worth $250 or more

also the condition of the card is very important if a card has bent edges or creases t will be worth lless than the same card in less worn shape. if you look in a card price guide be prepared you will only get about half as much as the guide says the cards are worth. those guides are made by the card sellers as a tool when they are selling they will say i am selling it 50% off the guide value. but try to resell the same card and you will only get 50% of the book price

How Much For Baseball and football cards that where from 1977?knicks ,nba teams

Check out tuffstuff.com for both, but remember it is only a guide, most important is condition, dealers might pay 15 percent on book, collectors 30 to 70 percent on book
It depends on who the cards are of. The baseball cards will carry more value but each card/player will have its own value depending on the player.
Around 20 cents a piece on average. Really good players could go for more.

Why is college football better the professional football?

I have a speach to give and my thesis is thatcollegefootball is better than pro football. I have a few reasons of my own but I'm interested to see what the rest of you think. If you agree, give me your reaons why.

Thanks

Why iscollegefootball better the professional football?nba graphics

Tradtion and passion. If you have ties to the school the passion is rediculous. Plus the students and alumni. The band. The top 25. Players playing for the game and not for money. Rivalries, confernce play. Bowl games. It all makes it better then the nfl. Fans of the nfl usually didnt go tocollegeor a big school or the one they liked and there for like an nfl team. But people who went to a bigcollegeor gradauted fromcollegeI find usually likecollegefootball better.

Why iscollegefootball better the professional football?nba live 2007 ,nba teams

they pass the ball more
I think its the other way round. NFL players are just......hotter.
do they?.. or maybe because they are so excited. pro have to face the fame thing..
Your thesis is, flawed from the beginning.
because there is more excitement. In proffesional football they are "proffesional" there is much less, interseptions, fumbles sacks, all that. we football fans love all that suspense
ive always likedcollegebetter because a few things. the guys on the field are kids, they arent getting paid for what they are doing, they are playing for the love of the game some hoping to go further with their career in football some to further their education. To me the games always seem more interesting. You dont see them showing off, doing these big victory dances on the end zone with a phone they pull out of no where. I just feel the players attitudes incollegefootball are just soo much better!
There is a higher turnover rate in college, in four years, every team will be 100% different.

Anybody who sayscollegefootball isn't about money is dumb. Those players are fighting for contracts in the NFL, and why else would Central Michigan allow UofM to absolutely crush them in the Big House almost every year?
The money *big grin* I lovecollegefootball. Granted yourcollegeplayers might go on to pros but it just seems to be a purer game without all that money hanging over their heads. The fans seem to be more down home. It's safer in a way. With the wildness of the pros and now with all the bad press certain pro players are getting because of their shinanighans...what more can I say?
I wouldn't say that it's better. Perhaps more exciting, though. Reason being that they use a lot of plays incollegethat you never see in the pros. Also, you tend to see more points racked up incollegethan in the NFL.
These kids playingcollegeball are representing pride in their community.

Yeah..I know they go to different colleges than where some of them live, but its still pride in their selves and their school. They are only paid with applause and a chance to go pro.....

The pros...its all about money. Its a job, not a passion.
College ball is a huge audition for the Pro's. In my opinion when you go tocollegeto play football you are trying to land a gig in the Pro's. I think everyone would agree thatcollegeathletes are giving 100 percent and really trying to win a contest on the field. I havent watched a pro game in several years. I dont think professional football is rigged or anything, but it is a business. It is the last place an athlete can perform his job.
I think College Football is BETTER because everyone is playing for pride and to move up to the next level. The NFL is full of overpaid jocks who are more interested in the dollar signs and think they are above the law.
Because of days like yesterday.

Teams who were supposed to be "elite" were caught napping by teams everyone thought they would just roll over.

The NFL game just doesn't do anything for me, other than watching the New Orleans Saints play. I just can't get into it the same way I get intocollegefootball. More emotion, more teams, more pride, more...well, everything.
Younger behinds are more fun to watch!

They try harder to play, it's not just a job.

Better fans.

I can get drunk while watching the game and have the next day to sober up and get rid of the hangover without being at work.
College ball is better in certain ways. Mine are

#1 ITS NOT ALL ABOUT MONEY!

#2 Theres no Vicks, no Terell Owens or no other mouth runners in college. If you run your mouth then your suspended.

#3 The Patriots arent incollegeto annoy everyones chances
jeez what a stupid value judgement based argument. your thesis is blue is better than red.

i would go with the arguements you have in your mind and be glad i dont get to question you.
Can't say that I agree w/ you. Apparently you haven't seen a Cowboy's game lately!!!!!
Well their are numerous reasons but I won`t bore you and just list one. No matter how bad Notre Dame is playing. They can`t move to oh say L.A. just to get new Box seats and increased revenues.

That's hard to say...........He made his mark in football and we saw it as it happened.........In high school he was drafted by the Kansas City Royals..........College the New York Yankees and the Baltimore Colts drafted him........Apparently the Yankees and the Royal saw a lot of potential in Elway but without him playing pro baseball we'll never really know how good or bad he might have been.........He did "pretty good" in the choice he made..........He wasn't my fav but he had my respect as a top notch QB...............CAT

who knows he was a good pitcher. but you can't argue with what he did in the NFL. if he played baseball then the browns might have won a Superbowl. that changes everything
no
he still would have stunk//// they should have kicked that bum out of football when he refused to play for baltimore, he is a sissy and and a jerk

If you win the coin toss in football why would you choose to kick?

What would be the strategy behind kicking the ball instead of receiving after you've won a coin toss?

Have you ever seen a team do that?

American Football, if it wasn't obvious.

If you win the coin toss in football why would you choose to kick?nba trade rumors

The percentage of teams who score on the first possession of the game is low. The receiving team is cold and odds say they will not score on that first possession. However after halftime the teams have made their adjustments to what the other team is doing and having the ball first can be a big advantage, especially if you can score on that first possession after the half. If you can score on that first drive after halftime then you have the momentum in the latter part of the game.

If you win the coin toss in football why would you choose to kick?nba standings ,nba teams

you would choose to kick for many reasons if you thought your defense could make a quick stop or if it was a windy day and you wanted the wind with you in the forth maybe you just like having the ball at the start of the second half
Teams with a great defense have been known to kick the ball rather than receive it,the reason is that if they hold the other team deep in their territory, they will get the ball in good position, doesn't matter in the long run because in the second half the team that received the ball in the first half will have to kick
It could be a windy day and they want to have the wind the first quarter. Or they could have a good defense and think they can stop the other team deep in their territory, forcing them to punt or better yet causing a turnover.
D-fering the ball to kick instead of recieve is to be able to recieve the ball first in the second half......if momentum is down and your losing or wining scoring first in the second half is a Boost !!!!
In a close game, they want the ball first in the second half. Usually teams want to put their best side on the field first, offense or defense.
When a team wins the toss and elects to kickoff(which means they would have to kickoff to begin both halves) it is usually because of the weather. If a team wins the toss and defers their option to the second half then it is usually because they have a good defense
To get the ball in the second half. If you're down, you get it first. If you're up by, say 10 points, you get the ball first and can go in for the kill.
usually its because the wind will be a huge factor. So they chose the side of the field over getting the ball first.
When the game starts every player is pumped up and overly aggressive which many times leads to errors and penalties during the first set of downs. Most coaches would rather their defense be on the field at the game start. Their offense gets the ball in the second half when they are hopefully in full game mode.

This is the theory, but I've seen it backfire on the coaches many times.
I have seen teams do it. It is usually because they have a great defense and are figuring on that to stop the opponent.
The reason you would choose to kick is so you can get the ball at halftime if you are down at the half.
I assume you mean for NFL overtimes. It doesn't really make sense to elect to kick in that situation.
