Okay, Im trying out for our schools freshman football team and I need help.
1. What will increase arm strength to throw farther? (throwing procedure too cause I don't think mine is working...=\
I can throw probably at a max 35 yards but I need to throw farther cause another kid wanting the QB position has a Brett Favre gunner with long fast passes, how do I do this myself? I got good accuracy, timings pretty good, I just need help on how to throw farther and a better procedure on throwing. Thanks for the help

Ask your coach. Some of these ideas might get your arm hurt. If you can throw accurately for 35 yards that's about all you need. Unless you are throwing a hail mary. That's why a 40 time is more important in football than a 100 yard dash time. Rarely will you get enough time for your receivers to get farther than 40 yards. Ask your coach what he thinks you could do to improve. I mean do you want to take advice from a pot-smoking loser. Yeah jimsmokespots I bet you throw over 50. In your pot deluded mind.. ..

um ma coach told me 2 have both hands on the ball then let 1 go and then bring ur arm up like ur flexin ur muscle and then bringin it back and then let it go at the way u want it 2 go haha i think i think i got it mixed up
regardless of what u do.. ull never beat me... but in the meantime.. try tricep workouts such as... taking like a 20 pound weight and putting it above ur head w/ both ur arms... w/ ur arms bent extend them so u feel it under ur biceps... do that a lot.. thast what i did.. n i throw over 50 yrds.
Distance is not everything, work on accuracy, and when throwing far try giving the ball more spin(this is underspin and according to physics its travels higher and in air farther than no spin or top spinning objects) and also when throwing dont try throwing too hard or else ull be of target and the ball will go straight on the ground, also follow through force*time=mass*velocity, also try building upper body strenght, pushups, gym whatever,
good luck. the answer below this has the correct procedure of throwing the football but who needs to throw above 45 yards in high school, concentrate on technique and accuracy, the coach is not stupid, he wont hand each person a ball and ask em to throw it and whoevers goes the farthest get the position.
Do allot of bicep and tricep workouts, and stretch alot. Keep throwing around the football to get yourself use to the ball(don't throw out your arm, if you do ice it).... HOW TO THROW A FOOTBALL: 1.hold the football in your strong hand with your pink fingers on the laces(put 2-3 fingers on the laces)then when in the throwing motion make sure to extend your lead foot out with you toes pointed in the direction you want to throw. Then keeping your elbow up bring the football back getting ready to throw. When you throw make sure the football goes past the ear and then realease. Dont throw side armed
